Tick off a skill

Mark what a child can now do. It is thirty seconds after class and it is the thing parents notice most.

Each level in your curriculum is made of skills. Ticking them as a child masters them is what makes progress visible — to the parent, to the next coach, and to whoever decides the child is ready for an assessment.

1. Open the student

Management → Students, open the child, and find the Skills Progress section. It shows the skills for their level, with the ones already achieved marked and dated.

2. Tick what they can do

Click a skill to mark it achieved. The date is recorded automatically.

Click an achieved skill again to undo it if you ticked the wrong one.

Why it is worth the thirty seconds

• It answers "why hasn't she passed yet?" precisely — the outstanding skills

are right there, instead of a vague "not quite ready".

• It tells you who is ready to be assessed, rather than assessing everybody

on a date and failing half of them.

• Parents stay because they can see improvement. A ticked skill list is the

cheapest retention tool in the building.
