Most academies also sell things. Hull sells them on the same till as the classes, so a swim cap and a term package end up on one receipt, one payment and one line in your accounts — not in a separate notebook.
1. Open the sale screen
Product Sale in the menu.
Who can use it depends on how your academy is set up: either the stock roles only, or everyone at the counter. Selling and *managing stock* are different permissions — someone may be able to sell a cap without being able to change what the count says.
2. Build the cart
Search the catalogue, add what they are buying, set quantities. Prices come from the catalogue with tax applied — the same pricing rules the class packages use, so promotions apply where you have set them up.
Pick the location the goods are leaving. If your academy has one store, this is filled in for you and you can ignore it.
3. Choose who is paying
Search for the student, and the payer fills in from the family on file. You can also pick the parent directly — a family buying for a sibling who does not attend still works, because merchandise attaches to the payer, not to a child.
4. Take payment, or bill later
Exactly like selling a package: take the money now, or issue the invoice and collect later. Either way the stock comes off the shelf the moment the sale is recorded, and a receipt is available against the payment.
If the sale was wrong
Void it. The invoice is erased and the stock goes back, recorded as a reversal rather than a silent correction — you can see what happened and when.
A customer return works the other way: a credit note gives the value back and puts the item back in stock.
What the counter cannot see
Cost price is hidden from anyone without permission to see it. The person selling a pair of goggles does not need to know your margin, and Hull does not show it to them.
